According to reports, a suicide bomber tried to enter a mosque in Barakahu area of Islamabad immediately after Eid prayers.He started firing at the security guards when they told him to stop.
One of the guards responded with firing shots at the bomber and killed him.
The suicide bomber tried to blow him up but his jacket did not explode.
Bomb disposal squad reached the site and defused the suicide jacket.
A security guard was killed in the exchange of fire and three persons inside the mosque were also injured.
SSP Operations said there were four to five persons inside the mosque when the bomber tried to explode his jacket.
Police has sealed the mosque after the incident and are investigating the incident.
